Herman is just as big of a gamble as Oeaux at this point. Maybe bigger. After all, he did lose to 3 AAF teams this season. If you can't win the AAF are you ready for the SEC West? Fisher would have been the shoo-in safest choice but that ship has probably sailed. Giving Herman a shot might pay off but he has done nothing to justify the pay grade he now occupies.
Not that you're wrong about Herman but remember that he will have SEC west talent if and when he takes on the SEC west.
