I am a republican, and agree with this statement completely. I cannot call out democrats for activities that are improper and ignore those same practices when engaged by those who purport to represent me.

    OK, wise guy.
When Democrats are elected do they not move forward with their agenda?
    The Republicans do the same?
    Am I wrong?

If all we need was elected officials, why do we have parties in this country?

I don't know if Karl Rove lives there or not but its got an address and a phone number, he would be a fool to have a listed address now wouldn't
he, he is a marked man!
I don't really care about Karl Rove, since you are concerned why don't
    you go after him?

Do you know why Bush won the election this past year? :)

Are you Democrats going to sit here and say that your party doesnt play politics.

I will say one name to show you they do:

    Nancy Pelosi

This is what those politicians love is when it becomes a Democrat versus Republican battle.

Wake up and realize that they are in it together. Both sides are bought and paid for by the special interest groups.

I'm not a Democrat, but I will gladly say they play politics. Just about all Congressmen are career politicians. Its a crock, but it's the way of life. Ideology wise I line up with the Conservative persuasion on most issues. That does not mean I like the administration, or the Republican party leadership. I do not feel represented by them. I just find it funny how people on the right or left can only see fault in one party. I see alot of fault in both.

Yes you are wrong. The purpose of elections is to elect people to represent you, not for politicians to push through agendas. That is what the elected officials use their terms in office for. Which is a crock. They should use them to represents their constituents not their parties.

The thing about Karl Rove is that he is committing a crime called voter fruad. He is registered to vote in Texas. He claims an 814 sq foot cottage as his primary residence to keep his Texas voter registration. It is just one example of the lack of ethics by Washington politicians and beurocrats from both parties.

Bush won the election because he had more votes from the electoral college. He also dominated the popular vote as well. The reason he had more votes is because he ran against a giant deush that middle of the liners like me would not support.

In a perfect world you are correct but in todays world you are wrong although
I have no idea what you mean by terms?

Karl Rove, you have no idea if Rove is committing fraud or not.
I personnally don't think Rove is that dumb, do you think he would
do something like that over his one little vote?
If you think he's guilty why don't you go after him like I suggested.

The main reason Bush won in the fall is that it got out the christian and the
right wing vote because of the Supreme Court vacancies, JMO.
It would've been a lot closer like in 2000 otherwise.

Middle of the liner, how come I've never seen you say anything about the left,
you don't criticize any of them that I've ever seen.
You certainly didn't criticize Mr. Jefferson for taking away valuable resources.
You say you criticize both sides well thats laughable as far as I'm concerned.

I do think you are reaching in your posts lately on this thread, we don't live
    in a perfect society.
I think you should go argue with the wall over some of these silly little points.

The reason you don't see me criticize the left is because they are the minority party and they can't push through dumb legislation for me to hate. I don't think I have ever come out in support of a Democrat agenda. I think its pretty dumb,

I did not attempt to defend William Jefferson. I just pointed out that there were two seperate news accounts that told two very different tales and that I could not make up my mind because of contradictory stories.

I'll ask it once again, do you think that Karl Rove is dumb enough to commit
voter fraud over his one little vote or his family's votes.
Its not like that would make a big difference in an election.

    I'll reach here like you
I always heard that Bill Clinton's first house was the White House.
Did he commit voter fraud when voting for himself?
That makes about as much since.

The problem with your and Chaos philosphy is that you claim both sides are
corrupt while you totally ignore the party out of power at the time.
I guess you ignore stuff like Hillary's campaign financer being indicted.

Doesn't make any sense if you ask me.
I'm still skeptical, you didn't mind passing all the blame from Katrina to the
Feds while giving the mayor and governor a free pass.

I'll ask again, did they follow the evacuation plans to a "t"?

Just to make it clear here, I'm not trying to take up for Karl Rove.
I could care less if he is guilty or innocent other than I would hope
he is innocent because we have enough corrupt people in the world.

I just give the man more credit because he seems to be a smart man,
it does happen but why would a smart man, powerful man in the spot light
of the country be dumb enough to commit fraud over a few votes?

I don't buy it for that reason.
The Democrats don't have any issues or know what they stand for any longer
so all they can do is attack and disrupt their adversaries.
This is just my opinion take it or leave it.
