Dude, I only lie when I'm talking to martin. :hihi:

Anyway, that's terrible that the girl died like that. The story sounds like your typical spoiled brat that never had to take responsibility for his own actions because his family is in high places. I'd be willing to be that most prominent politicians in America have some story similar to that, although most likely not involving the tradedy of that one.

 About the Martin comment

Your second comment, that was terrifies me, these people are and have been
running our country for how many years?
Ted Kennedy for instance, its not like he knows what its like to be a middle
    of the road American.
Its also not like he's ever worked for anything! :dis:

Exactly. That's why I'm pretty much eternally skeptical of damn near all of them. Many of them were brought up in family politics or were spoonfed, thus further distancing themselves from the real life problems that any of us face on a daily basis. That's also probably why you currently see me as more anti-Republican than anti-Democrat. I tend to go after whomever is in power at the time, because I don't trust anyone else to run my life for me.

I love how most on this board will automatically assume the guilt of William Jefferson (D- Louisiana) and that Tom Delay (R- Texas) is the victim of partisan politics.

I beleive in fact that both are victims of partisan politics. I also beleive each to be guilty as sin. They got busted great. Get them the hell out of office.

Also this is a question for the board since his name came up. How is it that Karl Rove is registered to vote in Texas when he does not have a residence there?

Tom Delay is the consummate rouge. His activities in the redistricting sessions for the state of Texas were shameful. His toady, rick perry, would not get my vote even if Ann Richards was running for Governor of Texas. I loathe them for what they are; vulgar, contempuous sycophants.

This was the best news I heard all day.

First of all, everyone is guilty of sin, correct?
    Automatically assume?
Tom Delay didn't have the FBI go to his house and search his things.
Tom Delay didn't use rescue resources to get his things from his house.

Your theory that both are victims of partisan politics doesn't make any sense
unless both individuals are powerful leaders for each party.
Most anti-Republicans don't like Delay or Karl Rove because they are good at
what they do and have been able to rally support to try and get the Republican agenda done.
That is why we have elections, the democrats have been trying to undermine
the 2000 and 2004 elections since they believe they were fixed.

No residence for Karl Rove in Texas?http://phone.people.yahoo.com/py/ps...ate=TX&Phone=&Search=Phone+and+Address+Search

The job of Tom Delay is not to rally support for Republicans. It is to serve in the best intrest of his Congressional district. He instead plays partisans politcs as hard as anyone.

Why is it we have elections? If I am reading your post right it is to get the Republican agenda done. I thought we had elections to elect officials. Silly me.
