If I had to make a choice on who to rescue from a burning house between you and Delay, guess who is getting left inside. It is not so much you personally I dislike Rex, it's your ideals. It is morons, like yourself, that seem hell bent on toppling this great country. How do people like you sleep at night? I hope your gay, God forbid you are able to produce offspring.

Tom Delay has as many ethics violations as Alabama has probations. He does not belong in Congress on those grounds alone, but I guess if ethics were of any concern in Washington the town would be pretty empty.

He may very well be guilty of some creative financing, but I bet he would not hesitate to stand up for that statement in your signature. Politicians are forever finding loopholes to accomplish their goals. Always has been, always will be, but he is a good person with a good heart and has done a lot to ensure we keep a republican majority in the House.

He is idicted for breaking Texas state campaign finance laws. You have to set out and try to break those. A Republican majority doesn't mean much. His job is not to maintain his party's majoity it is to represent his constituents.

Indicted, not convicted. He has also been the majority leader in the House of Representatives. His job responsibilities have been more than just taking care of TX. He was a leader within the House, and will be again.

  LMAO!  Yeah, I simply despise 'good people.'

I'm sorry, I didn't realize the experiences that I've had in my life were not valuable. Hate to break it to you, but my 'life experiences', whether YOU deem them valuable or not, have already 'changed my views.' Just because I don't adhere to every single belief that was imposed on me by my family since birth does not mean that my 'views' are corrupt. I don't know, maybe you think it's 'unnatural' to grow out of intolerance? My experiences have taught me how foolish it is to divide people into two groups. I've also learned how equally silly it is to dislike people on the grounds that they fall into a category other than mine.

And what's with this imminent correlation between a family and being a Republican? You'd have to suggest that any person that has a family is a Republican, and that is simply preposterous.

Yes, God forbid anyone think differently from you. There are people that dislike your ideals as much as you dislike Rex's. Does that make either of you right? No. It's called subjectivity. Intolerance is the truly dangerous ideal.

Wanting to hold politicians accountable for their illegal/unethcial actions is somehow linked to the destruction of this country? Explain that one to me. If you ask me, I'd say it's corrupt politicians that 'seem hell bent on toppling this great country.' Equating your political peference to an extreme sense of nationalism is no attribute, either.

I laugh when I think of how different your tone would be if this were Tom Daschle that we were discussing rather than Tom DeLay. DeLay's tenure has been about as scandalous as it gets. If he represented my party, I'd be the first one to want him held accountable. You're fooling yourself if you think either one of them gives a sh*t about you.

No, that would be the reason that you aren't interested in him being held accountable (see above re: Daschle). I like it when any politician gets in hot water. They're all up to something, and probably deserve to get in trouble. Like martin said, they're all POS's.

I thought that might get a rise out of you CC. :hihi: Most likely, I won't know you 15 or 20 years from now, hell, I don't really know you now, but I bet your views are quite a bit different from the ones you express today. As a young man, I didn't focus on politics. I didn't care one way or the other. As I grew up and expierenced more and more of the world, my opinions on God, family, and the state of our nation became more and more important to me.

As I have said over and over again, I am not open minded. I don't see a reason to be. I am not a middle of the road guy either. Pick a side and try to defend it. I see people like rex as being detrimental to our society and view him as an enemy of the state. My beliefs are based on preservation of the nation, his are based on doing what makes him feel good today. I am right, he is wrong (left). You'll come around. :thumb:
