well answering as someone who has rarely ever booed, i think it is seen as creating a more hostile environment. but i don't think we need to boo to make death valley more hostile.
Maybe not booing specifically but say there is an opposing team driving for the game winning TD with a freshman QB I believe at least yelling or "oh-ing" throughout the stadium will shake the kid somewhat. Granted I'm guessing that's different from booinng you're referring to. I don't want them to feel comfortable in our stadium and if we don't boo they might.
You went back in time for that article. I don't think it's abnormal to cheer for your team or taunt the opponents. It's called home field advantage for a reason. VT had it in 2002, we had to wait a few years to get it to our place and I think they picked a bad year to finally come play in Baton Rouge. We have a monster team. I just hope we play like monsters.
In both cases, noise while on defense and quiet when on offense seems to be the most intimidating...definitely, the most intelligent. After all, it's the players on the field who create most of the intimidation, right? Pumping them up with support would seem to have a greater effect...
sure it is, i think the temporary resident of tiger stadium know what to do on offense and defense. i think the thread was started talking about when the teams run on the field.
I've been anti cheerleader ever since they stopped doing Hot Boudin. Now they do that stupid Rocky cheer that looks like ND's Irish jig thing. I'm not planning to boo because I still cheer Tiger Bait. One lone voice among many- oh yes, I'll bring it back.
It's just a game. Besides, they treated LSU fans like **** a few years ago. They will get the boos and the tigerbaits all day long.
