I have a really bad feeling about this one. It will be devasting to NO. I sure as hell wouldn't want to be ANYWHERE near... But, that's just the pessimist in me... how often are the media right on these kind of predictions? lol.
Unfortunately, someone may have to pay a high price trying to prove 'da media wrong on this one. Not an issue to play around with, IMHO. I live right off of Highway 90 in Broussard. I can promise you beginning at about 3:00 PM yesterday, thousands of people east of here have decided not to tempt fate and are "bugging out." Prayers out to everyone. If this storm takes a "juke" east or west many more could be in the target zone. I'm going to watching this one all day.
You guys (and gals) get the hell out of there! Be brave later! Now a 5... N.O. is gonna get swamped. Our prayers are with you and your brethren... be wise, be safe.
Wow, I just tuned in to learn how dangerous this storm really is. Y'all be safe. Prayers from the Atlanta area, keep your powder dry.
This bastard got really big and powerful, really quick. Ordinarily, people have a little more lead time than this. As recently as around noon yesterday, I wasn't taking this very seriously at all. Thanks for the prayers, Caddy....we're going to need them.
I guess this sucker has to hit somewhere but I hope and pray for everyone in it's path that the damage is as little as possible and no one loses their life. I hope all of you guys stay safe. I listened to the head EMA guy in N.O. do an interview yesterday. He described a scenario for Tiffany making a direct hit on N.O. It was scary to even think about.
I hope everyone is using some sound judgement and moving inland. Katrina is looking pretty darn ugly. My prayers are with you folks...
Being a New Orleans native this really hits home. What a scary thing this really could be for so many people. It's surreal to think about. God bless everyone down there. My families prayers are with you guys.
My uncle finally saw the light and has left Biloxi, headed east on 10 and will stop in south ga. Hope others heed the warnings, time is runing out, you can't get caught on the road in those type of winds.
