The only thing I don't like about opposing fans smack talking is the new trend of downing Louisiana's culture as a whole......that burns me up......in addition to all the stupid fans of course (see Golden Tiger's last post).......
Is it that LSU hasn't played anybody or that LSU is just better than everybody. This SOS crap is really starting to piss me off. If we had taken care of business during the Florida game, and win out from here, we would be playing for the national championship. I'm happy with the way things are playing out. I'll tell you why. The program is on the rise. Many years I've seen good years where LSU would lose 3 or 4 games, usually Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee. We'd beat one of those one year and then lose to ole miss, auburn. always ending up losing 3-4 games. Not too long ago LSU was in Alabama's shoes. My point is that the SEC is tough no matter who else you play non-conference. When #3 Tennessee was playing us in the SEC Championship, were they worried about SOS after that game? Let"s just win out, look strong for recruiting, and let the NC race handle itself. Regardless I think LSU will be in Oklahoma's position for the next couple of years.
Bad mouthing us as a PEOPLE. Yes, you hit the nail on the head. The smack-talking against LSU that is directed against us as a PEOPLE and our CULTURE causes a strong combative response in me, and I will counter-attack with all force until restrained by the admin folks. I suppose that Cajuns aren't protected by the "Politically Correct Rule" that prohibits making fun of folks as a PEOPLE and a CULTURE, and that's fine. But don't nobody be surprised if my counterattack offends somebody's sensibilities, because I won't stand by and take ad hominem attacks against my race of people.
