Where in the post you quoted does it say pot? I don't have to keep harping on that because as twisted pointed out, anyone with any sense realizes its not the weed, it's the fact that he broke the rules. And he paid the price for it. It doesn't matter if its weed, skipping class, not making grades, or breaking curfew. He served his punishment. It's the fact that a whole lot of people just can't seem to get over it, and keep labeling him as a bad person, or too much of a risk. Ray Lewis was involved in a god damn double murder, but Mathieu is a bad person.

Just because you 'paid the price' doesn't mean you get off free. He has shown that he couldn't handle the spotlight and the fame at LSU and now there are NFL executives deciding whether they want to give him a multi-million dollar contract to contribute to the team. I don't see how you can just gloss over these issues so easily. Trust me, as LSU fans we want him to succeed and root for him but don't let it cloud your judgement. He is still a risky prospect because of what happened. He has done what he has needed to recover from it but he still hasn't proven that he has changed. That will come in the next few years.

And to go back to the original post:

4 reps is pretty sad, but it doesn't mean much like others have said. He will def get made fun of in the locker room.

Playing DB is about having leg strength, ability to change directions (fluid hips), accelerate, and explode into tackles. He's already been praised for all those at the combine. He's LSU's all-time forced fumble leader in 2 years of play and he somehow did most of those with his 'pathetic' arm strength.

He's yet to play a down in the NFL, so no he has not proven that. He also didn't play much on the line at LSU. Most of his play was off the LOS in the nickle position where the receiver is in the slot or he roamed free. He has very little history anywhere of playing bump and run with receivers in man coverage.

That probably doesn't mean didly squat to you either, but that says less about TM7 and more about you...
