You have questions about TM's playmaking ability? That's interesting, since TM was the most exciting LSU player I've ever seen. Did he sometimes get beat? Yep--just like every other DB in the history of the game.

But to question his role as a playmaker is perplexing to me.

This is how it played out with Perrilloux.

His size and speed and history make him an NFL prospect as a return specialist. If he can deliver as a reserve defensive back and special teams headhunter as well, so much the better.

The other night I went back and watched the two returns in the UGA game, when an NFL team looks at field position and special teams, he fits. A gunner on Punts, Nickel and Dime packages, return man, too many positions he can get in on. He's gonna get his shot, might get picked in the 3rd. round, all it takes is one team to find a need. Right now, there are too many teams that have that need. Whatever team gets him, they will keep a thumb on him, players like him, you have to.

"One longtime scout shook his head during a conversation about the former LSU star. "Imagine," he said, "if you didn't have to put up with the rest of the B.S.

    "He's a playmaker," said another.

One team executive ... shook his head at the prospect of drafting him. He then suggested that Mathieu could require a handler,... to make sure he keeps away from marijuana and stays on point. This executive -- who has taken risks on other, arguably lesser talents -- said he would be unwilling, at this point, to draft Mathieu.

He sounds like he'd fit in nicely with the Cowboys and Jerry Jones. ;)

Jesus, I really feel bad for Tyrann. Not since the Salem Witch Trails has anyone been treated as unfairly with inflamitory bullshit as he has.

There are many players with baggage, some more than others. As with many players, he will be signed with limits and incentives.

His problems are of his own making. I can't feel sorry for him.

Furthermore, he was given multiple opportunities to resolve them.......hopefully he defy's the stereotype and gets it together, I wish him the best.....most exciting player I have ever seen in Tiger Stadium.
