I have nothing personally against JJ. I think he is getting a raw deal and hope his legal problems vanish. But lets get real. There is NO comparrison between Jordan Jefferson and Jarret Lee. For those with eyes to see - it was painfully obvious last year. In fact - forget J. Lee - there is no comparrison between JJ and almost any/every college QB in the country! Think I'm being dramatic? Try this test.........Sit down in front of your TV starting Saturday morning and flip between college football games all day and all night. Watch every QB for any/every team for at least 15 minutes. You will not see ONE QB that looks as bad as Jefferson! We all love LSU and want to hope/believe that he's really not that bad. But the fact is - he is horrible. And this is why LSU's offense was ranked near the very bottom (like 108 out of 120 teams in the country) last year. LSU's offense was also ranked either last or second to last in the SEC last year. God knows JJ got AMPLE chances last year to prove himself. Far more than he deserved. Miles almost lost his job because of it (that's right). Besides not being a good QB, Jefferson is/was about as natural of an UN-leader as one can be. His body language and enthusiasm were pathetic. He was a major jinx to this team. It's not his fault. His coach should have never put him in that position. That is why a large % of tiger fans in tiger stadium boo'd last year. They were not booing JJ. They were booing Miles.

I agree about Lee being the man.
I agree about Jefferson getting a bad deal and hoping his legal troubles vanish.

But There is no excuse at all for the booing....those aren't true fans at all and to pass it off as not booing Jefferson, but booing Miles......no rational person buys that Bull ***** because, if true, they were booing Miles for playing Jefferson. There's absolutely NO difference between Booing Jefferson or booing Miles for playing him.

I repeat....NO true LSU fan should boo a 19 year old player who is trying his best to play his heart out for the team. Do the boo birds really think that is gonna make Miles coach better, or Jefferson play better...or is booing a primal scream for personal attention because drunk self centered game attendees wish they had a real life?

I also repeat...Lee is the man and he's getting better every series. He's also earned the job and is a true Tiger despite the fact that he also was boo'd mercilessly throughout his career at LSU.

I have never been a giant Jefferson fan, but this hate-filled diatribe is total BS. He wasn't horrible, he led his team to an 11-2 record, his "body language" wasn't pathetic, and there was't a lot of booing in Tiger Stadium last year.

I don't think you know much about football and yes, I think you are being dramatic.

The conservative offense was the game plan. The goal is to wear the opposing team down and close the game out. Long drives equal tired defense for them, fresh D for us, even with all of our subs. If you don't think that game plan would basically be the same with JJ, then you don't follow this team that closely. We have played two high powered offenses and kept them off the field. Miles has said when the game dictates opening it up he will. Hence the 5-5 68 passing TD drive. People need to quit comparing anything to last year, Crowton is gone, the offense has an identity now. Watch the dysfunction that is Maryland, if you want flashbacks. We are playing true traditional LSU Football--awesome D, with a great running game and efficient passing. :geauxtige

yep. good post turbo. the improvement in offense likely is mostly due to changes in oc. i said it before, and i will say it again.... jj may have been greatly improved also, because of the coaching from krags. but we will never know! we can speculate all we want that lee is 10x better. or that jj would have been 10x better. or that they were equal. but because of a bad situation, being at the wrong place in the wrong time, a superdouche out for money, and a pd with their head up their asses, we will never know. the coaches (both krags and miles) and the team seemed to have faith in jj this year, and that is good enough for me to believe that there was at least some improvement. just as we have seen improvement in lee and the offense as a whole.

both young men (jj and jl) have stuck with this program and worked their asses off and endured a lot. we should not be throwing either one of them under the bus. they are BOTH tigers.
