It's unlikely he would have been drafted of course. But he's always reminded me of Jason Campbell, who was a punchline to LSU fans before the light came on his senior year and they ran the table. In their first few years they were the same size with the same skills and same propensity to suck at times in between productive plays. I certainly didn't see any pro potential in Campbell and he went in the first round and is still a starter in the NFL seven years later. Who knows if Jefferson would have turned into something his senior year. Not me or anyone else on this board for sure.
Based on the new Beinivue article, it sounds like he knows that the criminal charges are about to be dropped. We have known from the beginning that the main goal is the civil suit.
NO ... CLM's job is to win ballgames. He doesn't care about "what's fair". What was fair, was that JJ won the Starting position in the Spring, and would have started if he'd had snuck out of the dorm [as tradition] and all went over to a friends house where no trouble could occurr. But at this point, he lost his starting position. Lee is the quarterback. He's winning games and running the offense in a way that I envision CLM has always dreamed of. Ground and Pound with an efficient Pass Game to keep the D off balance. JJ doesn't start unless Lee has a meltdown. And .. I just don't see that happening, given that Lee is improving with every game.
