link? not that it's a surprise. everyone with half a brain has known that is what this is really about. cha-ching!:dis:
If and when a civil suit comes, JJ and JJ should both countersue, and add the City, the DA, EBR Parish, and anyone else who even had a remote role in this mess. Jefferson's countersuit could be in the millions. All he has to do is point to the few articles from the summer about his improvement from all kinds of college coaches, pro scouts, media, NFL QB's, and the like. Then point to the team's success and note that he should have been starting for that team but that was taken away from him. His chances at the NFL were severely harmed by an inept investigation. The DA should've encouraged this thing to disappear before the seeds of a civil case could be planted. They're going to lose and badly.
I have a question. If jj testifies at the gj and they ask him who was doing the kicking , he must answer, right? What if someone on the team playing now did the kicking and jj knows who it was, he would be required by law to tell the court. Jj could be forced to rat out a friend and teammate to keep from going to jail himself or from perjuring himself. Am I correct?
Fans...such hypocrites. Some of you are gonna crap a house of bricks when Jefferson becomes the starter again. Lee did what you hope a backup does. Win games in the absence of the starter. I don't see how you guys don't believe Jefferson, if reinstated soon, won't get a chance to reclaim his job. And it won't mess with the team's chemistry. They're happy for JLee and will be just fine if he continues to start. But they also want Jefferson to get his chance at redemption as well because they recognize he got a raw deal. It's FAN chemistry that will be challenged...and we're not that important.
JJ does not have to incriminate himself. He can plead the 5th. He does not have to answer their questions.
We are going on 1 month into the season. JJ has not even practiced with the team. Are you suggesting that JJ comes in and starts when he is reinstated? J Lee is the man until he proves himself unworthy to start.
Correct. Oh yes he does! The fifth amendment only allows him to refuse to answer by incriminating himself. He cannot refuse to incriminate others. Neither does his memory have to be perfect after all this time.
