Yea yea yeah, and JL was at the bar that night too.. Its been beaten to death so give that up already.. You can like it or not but JJ comes back you can bet he'll be the starter within a few weeks, to think differently just shows you haven't been paying much attention to CLM.
This may be the most ridiculous remark I have ever heard on TF. :insane: How long have you been watching this game? What a crock! Coaches make changes all of the time, chief. His job is to win football games, not to cater to the ego's of 21-year-olds.
If this needs to be in another topic/thread I trust the mods will move it: QB Jefferson to take stand as grand jury convenes - CBSSports.com ETA: this one speculates that JJ won't testify until next week and that the DA *expects* this Grand Jury to take 3 weeks LSU bar brawl grand jury might go into overtime | The News Star | thenewsstar.com
The truth is going to come out and the threat of perjury is going to cause the liars to recant or risk going to jail.
This is so very sad. The DA is leaving JJ twisting in the wind because he is gutless and craven. If there is evidence of their (JJ & Johns) kicking and damaging Lowery et al there should be no question to bring these kids to trial and let a jury (or judge) decide. If the evidence is as insubstantial as it seems and possiblity of exculpatory evdience (videos showing JJ in clothes other than the kicker's) they should have been let off long ago. I make no claim of guilt or innocence, but observing the way this investigation has been handled it seems obvious the Police & DA have done such a poor job that there is no justice to be found here. I have seen BR (and other) police take the "ready FIRE, aim" tact and decide what happened then try to force the facts to fit their belief. To think this is anything but a fire drill and cover up resulting from a cop's jumping to a conclusion without facts is laughable. The so called leaders of the force have then tried to cover up the action with inflamatory statements then stone walling when thing don't turn out as they assumed. Lowery et all if they truly were victims won't get justice and JJ & Johns if innocent have already lost so much they will never be made whole. The fools in this play (the police & DA will get away with criminal incompetance. SAD day for all of us.
That's why I said "make them even more efficient..." :milesmic: I'm greedy so if JJ coming in on certain situations could improve our red zone efficiency even more why not give it a shot? Last year he was pretty good at leading the team to touchdowns inside the 10 yard line and JL has done a good job this year as well. Don't take what I said the wrong way I love JL as the starter and wanted to see what he could do with an entire game all last year. However even as a JL supporter I know he doesn't have a cannon for an arm therefore there are some throws when space gets tighter that he can't make and he has shown this year that he has matured and won't try to make those throws anymore. In a situation like that I wouldn't want JJ trying to force it in either but he gives that added dimension of running for a TD. Its all speculation anyway and I really do believe the coaches will keep JL as the starter and find a way to use JJ that makes us even better which is a nice problem to have :LSU231:
What worries me about this Grand Jury .. will all these players that signed affidavits be required/summoned to testify as well? (since contrary to 'standard' JJ will be testifying) This would prove to be VERY distracting for team members that would have to appear, as well as possible cause them to miss practices, etc. Could it possibly cause them to not be able to travel to a game, or be eligible to participate in a home game? A GJ summons is not something that can be ignored or postponed, etc. So, DA is speculating three weeks total for GJ evidence presentment and testimony... that keeps all this in 'flux' until at least the week of the Florida Game (10/8). Ugh.
