Well, I had dinner with Les Miles at Sullivan's on Tuesday night. On Wednesday night, Nick and Terry Saban invited me to their Tuscaloosa home for a delicious meal. Both coaches sought my advice, and we talked X's and O's a good long while. In case you didn't know, Les likes bourbon with his meals, and Nick is a vodka martini man. I drank Bud from a can both nights. Gotta say, I think both men will have their teams ready to go. But Saban is the more confident of the two. It is unlikely Fournette will run wild against the Tide defense, and Harris is overdue to throw some picks. Tide are at home, too. They take it in a close one. Bama 27, LSU 23. Sincerely, Curley H.
Please, please, please... NO hot chocolate on the side lines for the players. Forget what cold game it was, but when I saw on tv that the LSU side line had hot chocolate for the players, I knew we were going to have problems and we did. If our players are thirsty, give em ice water and send them back in with instructions to give bama hell.
