    Not a bad effort

    1. Correct, Lions in '09

    2. Green Bay in '08 is correct. Dallas is incorrect.

    3. GB hung 52 on us in '05, but that's not the record.

    4. Correct, Tampa Bay in '02

    5. Campbell is correct. Wuerffel bounced around the league for a couple of years, so there's one more (and this is a trick question).

    6. Danny A led the league in receiving in '69, but he wasn't first.

    7. Tirk already got this one; he was a teacher.

    8. Correct; Jerome Pathon

    9. It was not Brooks

    10. Tulane, Dome, Alamodome, Tiger Stadium and Giants Stadium are correct. The Saints have played pre-season games in Shreveport, but never a regular season game. There's one more out there.

My family had season tickets from '68 until '75. In that time, the only home game my father missed was against Detroit, Nov. 8, 1970. If you're a Saints fan, you know the significance of that date. He gave our tickets to a neighbor, who brought my brother and I to the game.

    2. Green Bay was already given. Kilmer in his 6 TD passes (question 9) led the Saints to 51 points over the St. Louis Cardinals. I think we beat Seattle with over 50 points once.

    3. I think Atlanta hung 62 or 63 points on us once (maybe even twice)

    5. Campbell already given. We got Paul Hornung in the expansion draft though he never played a down for us.

    6. Danny A was 3rd in receiving in 69 (but I think 1st in the NFL). First record I can remember is George Rogers lead the league in rushing in the early 80's. Archie got 2nd place one year for passing. Unless Gilliam's kickoff return in game one in 67 was a record.

    9. Billy Kilmer

    10. No clue. I remember in 2006 we played preseason games in Shreveport and Jackson, Miss but all reg season games were in the Superdome (who could forget the homecoming game on MNF vs Atlanta).

I was in the stands for the first game in 67 against the Rams. I used to say that we ran the opening kickoff back for a TD and it was downhill ever since. Can't say that anymore.

And I was at that Detroit game in 1970 but my friends dad (our ride) used to leave early to beat the traffic. We heard the roar of the crowd a few blocks from the stadium and ran to the car to turn on the radio to see what had happened. Only a 63 yard FG. :)

    2. Correct on St. Louis and Seattle.

    3. Correct on the Falcons, they beat us 62-7 in the opener in '73.

    5. Correct again. Hornung was under contract to the Saints when he retired, though he never played a game for us.

    6. Right, Danny led the NFL, pre-merger. I'm counting that as "leading the league" because the AFL was another league. But there's one even before then.

    9. Correct again, Kilmer, in the aforementioned St. Louis game (1969).

    10. I'm surprised no one's come up with the 6th stadium. I'll give it another hour or so.

No, you were naming Heisman Trophy winners who played for the Saints, or were drafted by the Saints. I asked for HT winners who retired as Saints. There are only 2....Earl Campbell and Paul Hornung.

Rogers played about 4 year for the 'Skins after we traded him.

Wuerffel went to the Euro-league, then came back to the NFL and bounced around for a couple of seasons before he hung it up.

Ricky played for the Dolphins and Bush will this season.

Question 6, in 1967 Dave Whitsell led the NFL in interceptions with 10.

Question 10, in 2008, the Saints were the home team when they played the Chargers in Wembley Stadium in London.
