Oh my - you are SO young... relax and you'll live longer. with apologies to Max Erhmann, "If you compare your team with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser teams than your own. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans." :geaux:
Amen brothers and sister. And in many ways we're still paying the bill for RP's messing up. Not only did he mess up -- and in the process screw the whole QB timeline that looked to have been well thought out -- but he forced CLM to get rid of him. Yes, I want wins but I want a coach that isn't afraid to show a problem player -- no matter the number of stars he might have had -- the door. Time for Miles to move on? Not even close. Not even if we lose the rest of the games this season. He's building a program, not a year. :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
But we didn't. If Vandy had scored with inches to go.. we would have lost. the if game is not fun.. especially with this team :hihi: wjray.. you would seriously be okay if we went 4-8 this year? To you more laid back guys who are satisfied with poor results.. do you guys follow recruiting?
"Brick by brick, my citizens. Brick by brick." Emperor Hadrian of Rome What he meant was : Day by day, one thing at a time, whatever happens we need to keep a cool head and go forward..."Brick by brick my citizens, brick by brick" Everything will be okay, settle down, we will be allright, we are talented and smart people. Life is good, keep on building. Brick by brick. :geaux:
I think he'd be the first coach in the history of football at any level to be fired while his team was undefeated. (1-0 interim coaches do not count)
Would I be ok if  went 4-8? I wouldn't be jumping up and down, but I wouldn't be calling for CLM's head either. I guess what I (and maybe some of the other "more laid back" (or is it old? :hihi guys) realize is that, although we are currently in the Second Golden Age of LSU! Football, it's going to end eventually. And when it does, I'll still wear my purple and gold every weekend, I'll still watch  every time they're on TV, I'll still go to at least one home game a year and I'll teach the little guy on the left to love LSU! as much as his dad does. :geauxtige:geauxtige:geauxtige
I hear you man. There's just no reason given our talent level to ever have bad seasons like that. Keep up with recruiting and you would know that we are stacked beyond belief.   I just want to get rid of the bottleneck that is slowing us down.. whatever that is. I personally think it's Miles.. but as pointed out it could be just due to a thin OL/DL, Crowton, or various other factors. Don't own either.
First off...dumb thread, BMY. I'm no sunshine pumper, but dumb thread. There are issues, but I see this team between 8-4 and 10-2...as I did prior to the season. Hoping for 10-2, thinking more like 9-3 at this point. - HOWEVER...considering the way you're getting hammered...props to you for keeping your cool...sticking to your stance (however twisted it may be)...and still posting without name calling, even though others are name calling and wishing you were gone.
You are a student. I'd like to know what your GPA is. Is it a 4.0? 3.8 maybe? 3.5 is totally unacceptable. if it isn't a 4.0, I think you should move on and get a job so that you can pay taxes to help provide the funding for scholarships for more deserving students, giving them a chance to succeed where you have not.
