You've been sitting on the fence over 4 years about Miles? Even after he won a SECCG and a National Championship?

So that other board won't allow you to post this thread? FWIW, I agree with you somewhat.

I am not sure if I would characterize his teams as complacent. If they were, LSU wouldn't have had the record in Miles' first three seasons here. I think the issues were more complex, including assistant coaches, players maturity, ability and mental toughness. I still think the apparent change in Mile's coaching style is more based on the level of confidence on his players; in the days of Jacob Hester's last season, they were very bold with going for 4th down conversions, but not now. The real challenge for him is to make tough coaching changes if it becomes necessary....

It seems to me, judging from posts such as this, that in a lot of people's minds, what LSU "needs" is a coach that:

    1. Never loses a game
    2. Never has his team have a bad performance -- even in win
    3. Must show emotion to the point where the player is fearful of his life all the time.
    4. Must put up 60 points a game
    5. Must hold opponent to under 200 yards a game
    6. Must have at least 4 TD's of 70 yards or more
    7. Must learn how to wear his cap properly
    8. Nothing less than #1 recruiting class every season

Newsflash, guy, that sort of coach DOES NOT EXIST! But you're right! What LSU fans such as yourself want is NEVER good enough than simply winning.

I haven't been on this board in awhile, been busy. Have the stupid posts steadily progressed since last year or did they suddenly appear?

And is there anyway I don't have to view WildTiger posts? He makes my head hurt.

click on "control panel" upper left corner.

click on "master control panel" option.

under settings, click on "edit/ignore list"

type in wildtigers user name in the "add a member to your list" box and click okay.

voila. no more annoying posts. at least from him.

rinse and repeat as necessary with other posters.
