Fire the coach because you are not happy today, Skippy?

Who is going to come here and outdo an 80% winning percentage, 100% bowl winning percentage, SEC and National Championships, top-5 recruiting and is undefeated and ranked in the top 10? What top coach would want a job when that record isn't good enough?

    Are you seriously deranged? :insane:

A bit harsh but I can't help but sum up my feelings in two words: cruise control

I would want to play for him as well. He's a genuinely good guy and an excellent father figure for these athletes. Whatever the reason his teams seem complacent.

I want more than anything for our Tigers to do well. If we do well under Miles (as we have) then I'm very happy. If we continue to struggle under Miles.. then I'm unhappy. Until we make a change.. he's our coach and has my full support come game day.

I was not happy last season either.. were you? I think he's an outstanding coach.. do not get me wrong.

What do you think is 'wrong' with this team? We're 4-0.. and we do have a road win against a ranked OOC opponent.. but why do we consistently play down to competition? It's not once or twice a season.. it's consistent.

Deranged I am not. I simply want us to have 'killer instinct' and let our talent take over.

No, you are calling for our coach to "move on". I think that's crazy, amigo.

You don't think his teams have consistently played down to their opponents? I just want everyone to know that I'm not being even close to irrational.. it's not Miles I'm against -- it's the style of football this team is playing. Winning is winning.. but the way we are playing we won't be winning for long. If we start playing well.. credit goes to Miles. If we continue to play sloppy.. credit goes to Miles.

If it makes you feel better: on the Southern Cal forums, after the UW loss, they had a lot of their fans showing up starting threads just like the one you have here.... saying that Carroll needs to go, that his teams are getting complacent, that he's getting like Bobby Bowden who is complacent not being a Top 25 team anymore, that USC's years of dominating the Pac-10 are over... etc etc.

I understand that. I'm not being irrational at all -- this is the game that pushed me (a fence sitter) to a side of the camp.

I'm just sick of playing down to our opponents.. I can handle letting a patsie hang around for a half -- but for 4 quarters? It's not just a one time thing either.
