Im not sure what these accomplish. If you dont aready show leadership in practice and games i dont really think these help.

But if it somehow would im all for it just not convinced.

Any player who let’s politics change how they play is unprofessional. Point blank. If a guy can’t block out distractions, he isn’t a leader. I suspect that is what is going on. I hope I’m wrong.
