3. If a suspended game is unable to be completed because of inclement weather and has reached official game status (five innings or more per NCAA Rule 5.6), it will be declared a game. ?? ballgame?
Not in postseason, must complete 9 innings. Just got back from The Box and it does not look good. They will do everything possible to finish this game tonight. Rain should be out of the area sometime around 7-7:30, but it's going to take a lot of work to get the field playable. I'd be shocked if they can start before 9. There is a rule that prevents a team from playing more than 2 games in one day during the postseason. The goal is to complete the NSU game tonight, then play 2 tomorrow. Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow too...
I would love to sit out the rest of the day, come out tommorow fresh and play 2 inning warm up... then go out and play Rice Game 1 and if we win we get to wait a day to play game 2.. that would be the best thing to happen IMO.
I don't want Rice's pitching to get any rest. I want to finish beating the Demons, and then play Rice tonight, and finish up tomorrow. By the way, I'm hearing that it's about 60-70% sunshine back home in Morgan City which is about 50 miles are so DIRECTLY south of BR. I'm at my friend's apt. in BR right now, and it looks good to me, no lightning.
Damn JayB. 11 pages and not one anxiety attack from you. You must have taken my advice to relax. :thumb:
