Especially since we never scored a TD first time. Had we punched a few in, that do-over likely never occurs. Red zone efficiency is a stat for a reason.
Ill be honest it depends on the game/ I remember a game where 9-6 at there place was good enough. Most days its not and doubt it will be this year. If were behind by 20 in the 3rd qtr a field goal wont cut it. If were behind 20-17 or ahead then the situation changes. You play the game your in and see whats needed.
I think since Chaison went down against Miami Coach Aranda has tried to have his down lineman play lanes to keep the qb in the pocket more than all out rush and supplemented a linebacker to rush or outside person to blitz and has depended on his secondary with a lot of one on one coverage Playing to his strength. I thought our rush was better against Georgia by far. I don't know if there oline wasn't as good or our guys are getting some confidence. We will see. I can see delpit near the line of scrimmage a lot this week to stop the run and our linebackers are going to have to be ready for the qb runs. Our secondary will do what they have been and cover man on man and if our D plays well we should win. But if we let them ball control and hit some big plays then it is going to be a close game. We cant let up. Every game we play is critical to the season now.
Think the 2011 win was where it all started. Not sure if it was LSUFreak or someone else. Dont recall seeing any earlier for LSU or any other teams.
