We arent there... yet. Which was the point about redzone conversion. If you watch Tua, he thrives on plays braking down and willing completions. Even without the no-call holds his predecessor capitalized on. On brighter side, Burrow was stepping up and shedding the pocket pressure much more consistently. I held my breath few times TBH.
There was a moment in the 3rd that I was worried (when we couldn’t do shit after the Fulton int). Kirby and UGA adjusted at the half. And Ensminger adjusted in the 4th quarter (that may the 1st time this year I’ve seen him adjust and it have that type of an impact). I am not a big fan of the E hire, but gotta give credit where it’s due on that 4th quarter offense. And it was setup by long drives all game that kept the Georgia defense on the field and worn down by the 4th. Which was also setup by great defensive play with multiple 3 & outs (a defense who also made great adjustments after UGA was running down our throat). We out coached UGA today, on both sides the ball. With all that said, while LSU’s offense is improved over past offenses, it isn’t scaring opposing d coordinators. Definitely not Bama. FG’s in the red zone can come back and kill you. And let’s be honest, our defense has its share of issues as well. But tonight, I’m enjoying this win!
Sweet! We have had some issues at home lately and I did not get to see the Florida game or this one. Well actually, I did get to see the last 8 minutes today. Biggest Tiger win in quite a while. Geaux Tigers!
I will admit E deserves some credit for his play calling. I will not ignore the 4/4 of 4th down success. But we kicked way too many FG's in the red zone to think we can hang with Alabama. If we have to rely on FG's in three weeks to beat Bama, you can forget it.
Full of piss and vinegar after a win! The offense stalled a ton, which was disappointing. But... UGA is a talented team, so I’d have taken an ugly win. This was a beautiful win. Burrow was a great get! Brosette is polished but limited and CEH is talented but a little raw still. I like what O is building and I think E, while maybe not be as creative as Mullen, is a good OC who is worlds better than what we had under Miles (credit to O here too) Not sure why you insist on being a jerk, Jesus.
Man took a lot to make that stellar prediction. Why dont you go ahead and blame it on E right now and save youself a post or two.
