Tigers logo in need of facelift (article)

I dont mind the Logo. I dont think the mascot on the floor or the mascot matters. Atleast the way it looks doesnt. I think the current logo LSU uses for it's lettering is good though. It looks a lot better than when Dinardo was the coach. I couldnt stand those thin letters. Everyone knows that LSU has Mike the Tiger and thats ferocious enough to have to see coming into Tiger Stadium. Think about this, there are some really goofy logo's out there. Dukes blue devil looks goofy, Delta state Okra's? Orangemen? Minutemen? Those are goofy mascots and logos. I think the one on the floor in the PMAC is pretty cool actually. But, as many, I like the old school ones the best.

I'd like to see LSU consider using a profile of a tiger's head, underlined with the letters "LSU" in our Geaux font.

Missouri is one school that uses the tiger head profile (check here). I'm not saying that we should do something that looks just like Mizzou's tiger, but I think a profile image looks both sleek and tough if done correctly.

 

I like Mizzou's Tiger. I guess im kinda partial, but I have that logo on a lot of shirts. It's a nice looking logo. But, I really dont see the big deal about the one LSU has now. I like it.

 

I like the eye of the tiger. It is unique and nobody has anything like it. I also think it would look cool on merchandise.

Agree. it looks like Penn St. The helment logo would have been much better
