Sounds like another pension fund that will go bankrupt somewhere down the road. I wonder will it outlast the social security pension.
Bet Brett Favre grew a poker, when he saw that Mettenberger TD laser in the back of the endzone between two defenders.
players get 470/mo. x years of service. so 470x8 for flynn which is 45k a year. that doesnt count what he put in and they matched x 2 up to 28,000 or something like that.
the way i read it is that 45k a year plus their matching. so if flynn put up 28k theyd put up 56k. all we know is the base and flynn could use the 45 k to give his kids spending money. the nfl is really pathetic compared to other leagues taking care of its players. in fact, i think thats what the article was about which brought about these numbers.
Are we talking about compared to other leagues and being they are a non profit, and their players go through more physically? Because that's still nice money.
i think the avg nfl salary is 770K. baseball is 3 mill plus. and baseball is way easier physically. basketball is probably 5 mill or so. in comparison, the nfl players have it rough because their union is run by idiots and the players agree to whatever the rich white men want.
