Geaux Mo.......... http://www.barstoolsports.com/nyc/s...awl-at-practice-fight-spills-into-the-stands/ Opportunity Calls, Will Morris Claiborne Answer? by Jake Wall 21h ago Cowboys fans received some devastating news last night. Dallas has lost yet another key defender. According to Jerry Jones via DallasCowboys.com, Orlando Scandrick will miss the first 4 games of the 2014 campaign. Scandrick appealed a PED suspension and the ruling was upheld. This is quite the blow to a team that has already lost Sean Lee for the year and DeMarcus Lawrence for at least the first month. The Cowboys defeated the Eagles 17-3. Mandatory Credit: Howard Smith-USA TODAY Sports This is also quite the opportunity for Morris Claiborne. The Cowboys are now not hoping for him to raise his game, they are relying on it. Orlando Scandrick had been the best CB on this team through-out Training Camp and Claiborne is the next man up. Mo has to take full advantage of this situation and put all of the doubt to rest. If he is able to take care of business, we might see Orlando move right back to the slot when he returns. At the moment there is not really any experienced depth behind Claiborne and Brandon Carr. The odds of guys like B.W. Webb and Terrance Mitchell making the 53 just blew up and this has really put this team in a bind. You would have to expect the Cowboys to bring in some veterans for try-outs soon. Back to Claiborne, he must take these first 4 weeks of the season and grab a strangle-hold on the starting CB spot. He has to prove his worth because the Cowboys really don’t have anywhere else to go. There has been a tremendous amount of pressure on Morris Claiborne since the Cowboys moved up in the first round of the 2012 draft. That pressure just got turned up a couple of notches.
By 3pm today teams have to be down to 75 players. A few cuts: Craig Steltz K Boone J C Copeland Michael Ford Kendrick Adams Steltz will have a shot with Tampa Bay, Lovie Smith likes him and can come in and help right away. Best of luck to all former Tigers.
I have been pleasantly surprised that Steltz has had a good 6-year NFL career, while some highly touted other guys have not.
Played long enough to get a good NFL pension, but like I said, might have another shot in Tampa Bay. Agree Red, he has had a good one.
Jeremy Hill gained 48 yards on 12 carries with a long gain of 14 yards for the Bengals against the Cardinals.
