That makes sense if they get teams full of the right players like Crouch, Leak and Warrick, but its just a bunch of no names from LA-Monroe and LA Tech and it has no chance. I looked at every roster and only FLA had more than 3 guys that were high profile in college.
The only guy I saw from LSU was Marcus Randall. And if a team was in Baton Rouge and say they had Randall, Reggie Robinson, Fred Booker, Rondell Meally and Demetrious Hookfin (just to throw random guys that could be on the team). There is no way I'm going see it, they should have given up on football long ago and coming back to play for very little money is just tragic, they should have taken their memories from college and accepted that it is over. Cause playing at LSU is 100x the experience and competition of the AAFL.

I think the problem is a little bigger than that. They are counting on the TV deals to entice investors to keep them afloat. When you start counting on prayer in the business world, things aren't going too great.

I shook hands with Norman yesterday at the Voodoo game. For those of you yet to attend an AFL game, take one in soon. It's a lot of fun. Norman intercepted a pass in the 2nd half that helped the Voodoo to victory. Lots of action and a non stop party.

    Some people aren't so optimistic.

I got that word straight from the Team Alabama offices in the last couple of days. The staff there is optimistic...

The main delay was one of the main investors didn't get the return he expected on backing some student loan investments. The AAFL needs a little more backing.

Like mentioned, TV/radio deals are done according to the offices in AL.

I would expect nothing less. If they want this too work they better be.

I think that's the problem. From everything I have read, they aren't getting the backing. I hope they do. I would like to see it be a success and eventually expand.

Hopefully that will reel in some money from backers. The league needs to make it public with details.
