And even then, they beat us for a couple of scores.

In all honesty, I would rather get blown out by Florida than lose by one point to Ole Miss...

Interesting perspective and after getting over the initial shock, I agree. :thumb:

Copyright infringements. They'll hear from my lawyer.

If Florida would have blown Ole Miss out before they played us, then I'd be more inclined to think Florida is that much better than us. The fact that they lost to Ole Miss the week before, validates my feelings about the "perfect storm". It's simple logic, but it works for me.

    good post

That perfect storm chit does happen, and it is no fun. However, we all absolutely love our college football. There is gonna be good times and bad times.

You guys need to regroup and kick some arse the rest of the season.

    good luck to you.

I agree that the Tigers got hit by a category 4 storm down in Florida. As I watched this game, in addition to all of the problems with defense and starting a Freshman quarterback, I saw a total lack of leadership from both sides of the football. We lost 2 games last year and could have easily lost a couple more games had we not made some fantastic plays. With the names of Flynn,Hester,Dorsey,Ducet,Steltz,Highsmith,Zenon,Jackson, Arnold, and Stewart among others, we still lost 2 games. These guys were leaders as well as good players. Who on this year's team is showing that leadership, Ricky Jean-Francois ? Someone on this team needs to step forward and lead this team. We have a freshman quarterback who is not going to be able to do what the Tebows and Colt McCoys do for their teams. Who's that going to be?
Now we need to regroup and beat the Gamecocks and get back on track.

Nice 2nd Post. There is a big difference between last year and this year's team. Because this team is young, we get the opportunity to watch them "grow up" and learn how to win, or comeback and win (AU Game). We lost so many good players over the last 2 years and I have realistic expectations of where this team falls in the SEC.

If we are looking for a leader...as far as I am concerned, since 2002, the leader of the team wears #18. Hopefully that tradition still lives and will live on......

Good point but Dickson doesn't play on defense. I thought Beckwith would be or maybe Tyson Jackson but I just don't see it on the field. Jackson came out and talked of being embarrassed at Florida and he should. It does seem that the secondary, including linebackers, are confused a lot of the time.
Let's hope we can get it together against the "want to be" cocks.

Maybe it will be a repeat of last year, without the second loss.
