Maybe his ultimate passion, goal, whatever you want to call it is to have developed a lasting legacy, a program that all other programs would be measured by. You guys have no idea what his real goals are, could he be a Bobby Bowden or Joe Paterno, a Bear Bryant, a Cholly Mac even. There no guarantee either way and not one person on this boiard knows what is really on Nick Saban's mind, so we should refrain from trying to read it.

Like Tubby said last week, the NFL is a players and an owners league with the coaches just being pawns in the system, maybe Coach Saban see's that too.

    What a ludicrous post ... every November/Dec ... SOS

Saban is a multi-millionairre ... get it ... a fuggin' multi-millionairre ... getting richer every year he stays at LSU ... and he's set for 7

That puts him near 12MM USD after a full term contract ... very, very nice

Now, that might not set into some people's skulls really quick because they have no idea what this entails ... and the work involved to keep it

Most "po-dunks" (Tiny Tool, Crawfish, et al) would go nuts with 2.5 MM USD but would end up blowing it in a short time.

As a multi-millionairre myself ... currently worth just above 3MM USD with the latest stock surge ... I can relate to this. I plan to work until I make 5MM USD or age 50, whatever comes first. The man is passionate about LSU FB and is driven by an incredible work ethic. I can relate to that too.

Both Nick & I could retire tomorrow ... sit back and live comfortably off of our investment earnings ... and be happy ... But, we both love what we do and are not ready to quit. PASSION!

Saban will stay at LSU for a long, long time ... he'll never find a better deal anywhere ... I know this, sure as God made little green apples ... and I guaranfuggintee you ... Nick Saban knows it, too.

Nick Saban ... College Football's AP Coach of the Year ... Don't insult the man or our intellgence with continued BULL**** Speculation on his leaving LSU for that DUMP ... AKA ... NFL ... or Not For Long

    at you rumormongering azzclowns ... in 2002, again in 2003, again in 2004 ... 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 ... contract extension at age 59 ... get the net ... :hihi:
