What is so interesting about this game is that LSUs situation on offense is so foreign to what we've seen for the past nearly 20 years; LSU cannot rely on the "play defense and run the ball" mantra. Even in past years when the question was, "Can LSU throw the ball to help out the running game," it still centered on the run. Its always been "run to set up the pass"; This year it has to be "pass to set up the run".
Does it have to be? I think most would be shocked if it's not run first if it's close. But I hope Oeaux manages the game and not the crowd.

O keeps pushing the Spread Offense narrative... If he isn't just talking shit then you have to pass to set up the run. Quick passes outside of the box to keep the defense out wide and setup H-leads and draws out of the gun.
