Mississippi State WON @ Auburn WON @ Vanderbilt WON Kentucky WON @South Carolina Ole Miss From the looks of it, I'd say you and GOLFER need to rethink your stance on LSU basketball... :geauxtige :bball:
Never one to run away from a screw up, here I am. The Tigers stepped up big today. This team is very talented. I've said that all season. In fact, I commented (and got blasted) that this might be the most talented team since Shaq, Stanley and CJ. My biggest concern remains the lack of depth in the back court. If Tyrus is going to be hurting I don't like our chances even though he is in the front court. If GT and Tasmin can start knocking down the 3's we might make a run. I still contend if DMitch gets shut down we are in trouble. No more predictions for now. I'll save that for tournament time. Excuse me while I go finish my dinner...Crow!
BB, go back to my thread where I said this might be the most talented LSU BB team since Shaq, Stanley and CJ. I've not been a believer I just hope DMitch can hold up.
I love it! I'm happily counting my 7 days of no Gofer negativity, hypocrisy and lack of basketball wisdom. WestCoast at least didn't make the bet... although it sounds like he'll at least stop making bad predictions and wait for the tourney... "hoping" for a Brady blunder so he and Gofer can come out of the wood work to rally for a SEC championship team to fire it's coach! :hihi: To follow up my "grade" email, C+ to the students and crowd. 9700 attendance for a nationally televised, game against Kentucky? COME ON! We are playing for the SEC CHAMPIONSHIP! :bball: :champs:
http://www.lsusports.net/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=5200&ATCLID=243297 BATON ROUGE -- Making 14-of-16 free throws in the final 7:24, the No. 24 LSU men's basketball team defeated Kentucky for the first time in six seasons, 71-67, during the SEC's Retro Week on Saturday in front of 11,576 at the Maravich Center.
Yes, the attendance was poor, but the fans who went made the place rock. The student section in the botton was into it nearly all of the game jumping and screaming, it made me feel like we were an actual basketball student section for the first time this year. The athletic dept should have made the decision to sell the students' seats earlier in the week and should have broadcasted it to everyone. I was told that only the students knew that they would sell their tickets 30 minutes before tip-off if they weren't filled up. Is this true? Students are simply not going to fill up those seats. The ones who came to Bama and Georgia realized that they are sitting in the rafters if they don't get there an hour and a half before (or three hours ior more early like some of us) and won't go anymore. Students are picky. I say sell those seats like they did tonight. Students don't want to sit in those seats for free? There are people willing to pay if the only KNEW they were for sale.
