I'm hear in Prairieville, in my house that I bought 3 weeks ago. I could use a new roof so maybe Katrina can help me with that. Nothing major, just rip some shingles off.

Funny thing is, is that I was in Memphis all weekend and drove down this morning to ride this baby out. :hihi:

I wish I could be there. I am trying to get my leave papers turned in so I can get home to help with the clean up.

In Atlanta, I almost drove down to be with my family in Houma. But they all went to Ville Platt.

Safe and sound here in Tally, Florida. God bless all the people in the path.

I think this was the same woman who asked the mayor of Houma if their evacuation centers were filling up with folks from New Orleans. Then she ended the interview by saying that she hoped that all the folks in Alabama heeded his warnings. A true idiot.

Safe and sound in Plano, Texas, praying for all of the people in my home state. This storm would bother me if it was hitting anywhere, but to see my beloved Louisiana under the gun is terrible.

Back home in Ville Platte. Good luck to everyone. I know a couple of people who are trying to ride it out in New Orleans. Not the smartest people I've ever met though. Hope they don't get hurt.
