Baton Rouge will definitely lose power. The only question is how soon and how long until power is restored. It took a week for my neighborhood after Andrew.

In Prairieville hoping to keep power. Actually, hoping Lake Ponchetrain does not end up in NOLA. Should be an interesting 48 hours.

My roommates & I, plus their parents, are riding it out here in BR at our apartment. I hope that if/when the power goes out, it's not for long.

That was hilarious. What'd they call them? 'Fool-hearted individuals.' Those guys are idiots. Some friends of mine and I have gone down there for more minor hurricanes/tropical storms to hit the surf (before they hit). But this is not the time for playing around. I wouldn't even consider going anywhere near the tides that were surrounding them. They would be dead within a minute.

Have in-laws in Baton Rouge with many friends…I think they will make it out ok. I fear New Orleans is going to get the worst of this.

Being without electricity is no fun. Kcal, where you around for the major ice storm several years ago? We were without electricity for over a week.

Stay safe and stay dry. :thumb:

I'm in Lufkin, TX....what a frickin' bummer! There are probably 50 counties in Texas and of all of those we get stuck in Angelina County which is drier than... I don't know, something that is reallly dry. Looks like we're gonna ride up to Stephen F. Austin's campus, which is about half an hour from here, and see if we can't find us some beer... good luck to everyone in LA
