Tiger will no longer have that luxury afforded to him. He has black balled a few reporters and commentators over the years. No more.

Anybody want to bet against Tiger playing in the Masters in April?

I'm thinking he wont play. I am also wondering if Jacks record just got a little more difficult for Tiger. His mindset may not be the same when he returns.

Some speculation about how effective he'll be on the course if fans heckle him, like they used to do Colin Montgomery. Tiger usually had it good because everyone respected his golf game, and he had not done anything for the crowd to heckle. At Augusta, he'll be ok, but maybe not in NY, probably not.

Au contraire. I think it will be his refuge. His focus will be on his game and not all of the crap going on in his life.

Hecklers? Insignificant pissants who will have no effect.

Kobe Bryant was once accused of marital infidelity and even rape. He bought his wife a monster ring, all but publicly admitting guilt. Today they remain married and Bryant is one of the most sought after athletes in terms of endorsements.

Tiger will be fine. He only has a few billion dollars to help him ride out the storm...

For whatever reason we LOVE celebrities in this country. There are things we wouldn't tolerate from our own family, friends, co-workers, associates, etc. but we have no problem with athletes and actors doing them. We are quick to defend them using every excuse imaginable as we can't stand to see our idols tarnished.

Tiger Woods is a great golfer. Kobe Bryant is a great basketball player. Both of them have also proven they are little more than that. In sports, these guys are winners. In life, these guys are major losers.

It's sad how people live their life more concerned about what Tiger Woods eats or what Kobe Bryant wears than about their own family or future.

For Tiger Wood's wife and kids, I hope they're somehow able to manage this and it will have a happy ending. For those suggesting he should kick her out and move on...all I can say to that thinking is I hope she and the kids get every single nickel if that happens.

I always thought Woods was an arrogant, spoiled jerk but agreed he was a great golfer. I guess what I had always assumed about his personality was accurate. I guess it's time for the next idol to surface.

Hard to say when Tiger will return to the Tour. If he's sincere in his desire to save his marriage then I can see him sitting out the entire 2010 season or best case returning for the US Open in June. If it's a PR charade then he'll probably tee it up at AN in April.
