All of the upper deck superstructure is gone and they are demolishing some of the support structure now. Already the new construction is higher than the remaining old structure.
Thanks for posting the pictures...for Tiger fans no longer living in LA, it is nice to be able to see the progress. :tigbas:
It would be cool to own a piece of the south endzone turf. They could sell squares of it for a dollar and make lots of money.
why dont yall just play the spring game at Southern. Isn't there stadium big enough for the spring game.
I don't think its a bad idea, but is it just me or do LSU & Southern both like to pretend the other doesn't exist?
The progress has been amazing. Working on campus I make a point to drive by the stadium and see what is going on routinly. I sometimes eat luch in my car while I watch the construction and listen to sports talk radio. There are only a few things that can make that lunch any better...
LSU actually played its 1975 Spring Game in A.W. Mumford Stadium (or whatever it's called) - but I don't remember why.
My 4 yr old daughter still asks me from time to time who those other "Tigers" were. Man...............what a great day that was.
