People are almost as serious about their Boudin as their Gumbo from around here!

My Favorite Boudin is from Abes of Lake Charles
Ray's in Opelouses also does a fine job and I hear Boudin King in Jennings Rocks but haven't tried it yet

Around Baton Rouge I 'd have to go with Tony's Boudin Balls

Don's Specialty Meats in Carencro has my favorite Boudin. I've tried a lot of them and Don's beats them all. It's the 1st exit off I49 past the race track. Turn right then left on the service road. It's about a half mile down on the right. Worth the trip if you are a Boudin lover.

Tony's Boudin Balls are awesome. Try the crabmeat and crawfish ones. MMMMMM' MMMMMMMM'

The only thing wrong with them for a Tailgate party is that the Boudin Balls usually don't survive the trip from Tony's to Tiger Stadium without them all being eaten.

Jerry Lee's on Greenwell Springs road has really good boudin in BR.

Those boudin balls from Tony's are DANG hard to beat. Somehow they never make it more that 2-3 miles from the store!:(

What do you eat for the Auburn game? Do you grill a WarPlainTigerEagle? A conchon du lait (pig roast) would be good for the Arkansas game. What about Georgia or Mississippi State? Unless you are Chinese or Korean you probably wouldn't want to eat a bulldog.

How about an all NCAA feast? Barbecued Longhorn (Texas) Roasted pig (Arkansas) Chicken (South Carolina) & Smoked Turkey (Virginia Tech) Duck Gumbo (Oregon) Fried Alligator (Florida) Buffalo meat Burgers (Colorado) Turtle Soup (Maryland Terrapins)

served with corn on the cob (Nebraska Cornhuskers), nuts (Ohio State Buckeyes) marinated artichokes (the Scottsdale, AZ Junior College Fighting Artichokes) Snails (Santa Clara Junior College Fighting Banana Slugs) Okra (Delta State Fighting Okra)

Plenty of drinks - Hurricanes (Miami) Boilermakers (Purdue) & Irish Whiskey (Notre Dame)

All spread out on a Cardinal colored tablecloth (Stanford)

A side dish of Red Beans and (Rice)

For a feast like that there will be no shortage of Volunteers (Tennessee) to eat it or Rajin' Cajuns (USL) who can cook it. If you eat too much too fast you might turn Green (Tulane) There will be lots of women around so if you get lucky be sure to use a Trojan (Southern California)

    Weird Arkansas Fans

I went to an Arkansas away game a couple years ago. It was really bizarre they all ate Pork. Hogs eating Hogs. Hogs on spits and they'd Barbeque them. Though I'm quite a fan of Pork I found it Cannaballistic and weird.

You're probably right about that. I also didn't hide them well enough. Not only from my passengers but from myself.

Where do the best boudin come from? I like the stuff from Mamou and Eunice. It has been a while since I sampled boudin from Ville Platte and Opalousas but if my memory serves me correctly it was pretty good there too. Also, I get these stuffed chicken from Mamou and Ville Platte that ain't too shabby. I LOVE hot pork sausage from Charlie's meat market it makes a gravy that literally turns orange. They make it hot enough you need a big glass of milk and cornbread to eat with. Si bon, cher? We, si bou coup bon!
