i hope im wrong, but i think we get rolled by msu. we havent played well enough all year to beat these guys. at least its at home, maybe we'll get hot from outside. msu will really limit the number of touches lloreda and bass get within 10 feet

MSU doesn't look so good against Kentucky, I guess we'll find out
    come Saturday.

    Gumborue,
    Cmon man liten up.

Darrell Mitchell was knockin them down last Saturday.

I think we'll beat State as long as we can hit a 3 every so often.
I don't think it'll be anything like the Bama Game

Its very early in the season, but he projects us as a 7 seed. I'll take it with this YOUNG talent....we gotta WIN, though.

A lot more BBall to be played. I plan on being in the PMAC saturday.

I think that MSU might actually try to guard Bass and Lloreda straight up without double teaming. Roberts and the 7 footer (can't remember name) might be given the chance to play one on one defense until they start get lit up.

i couldnt be a preacher, sourdoughman. i dont like people that much and i tell it like it is.

dont get me wrong, we can win. i dont think we will, but its not the end of the world. we are a very young team. no consistency. we have enough talent to win being inconsistent against ark and bama, but we must bring A game sat.

my pessimism comes mostly from the fact that our guards dont drive and dish. i think thats the best way to beat the collapsing zone. shooting over it is too hit or miss (pardon the pun).

by the way, msu looked good to me last night. kent is a hell of a team. im looking forward to seeing the big men battle.

    go tigers!

Driving and dishing is exactly what zone play is designed to prevent. You can't drive to the goal when there are two guys guarding you with a shot blocker waiting at the goal. The way to beat zones is to pass the ball around the perimeter to make the zone shift from side to side, eventually causing a defender to be out of position.

Driving and dishing works against man to man because if you beat the only man guarding you the shot blocker comes over to help leaving his man open for the easy layup.
