Tide's Kirkpatrick arrested on Marijuana charges

This kid was a thug punk LONG before this incident. I was glad to see him get popped in the BCS game.

If this kid were to slip into the second round I hope the Saints don't have any interest. Considering the type of person they routinely select, I don't believe the Saints would consider a punk like him.

I prefer if he played for the Falcons so we can light his ass up twice a year. His demeanor/attitude/behavior are much more suitable for Atlanta.

 

I thought he was there on an Academic scholarship and just decided to walk on. Haha

I'm kind of curious, why do LSU fans call Dre a thug?
I know, Bama fans call Mathieu a thug, but I just want to know the reasoning behind calling Dre one.

Yeah, a shame he got arrested. A lot of players on every team probably do this. He just got caught, that's all.
Still gonna be one fine player in the NFL and a first round pick.

I personally don't participate in this type of thread on Bama forums… but they do it anyway so I wouldn't say LSU fans can't do the same!

 

I have NO problem calling Kirkpatrick a thug based on what I've witnessed from his actions on/off the field. Is it because he's an Alabama player?...absolutely not. I've always pulled for SEC teams when they're not playing us. Of all the players on last season's team, are you shocked Kirkpatrick is the one in the news for a poor decision? If you had asked all Alabama fans a week ago to guess which player was most likely to be involved in this type of incident a large percent would've said Kirkpatrick.

I have NO problem with a guy playing tough on the field but Kirkpatrick is a trash talking cheap shot dirtbag...period. If Alabama fans want to call Mathieu a punk or thug they should have NO problem realizing Kirkpatrick is one.

The kid should have a great pro career if he keeps his nose clean. His challenge won't be to play well...but will be to get his attitude in check.

 

Really wish we would get away from that classification of these young men, whether it's The Honey Badger or Kirkpatrick. I know real thugs, and these guys ain't it!

So he talks trash on the football field...oooo, shame on that thug! I guess Rob Gronkowski is a thug too because he talked plenty of crap in their playoff game Sunday, including after the game.

Is he selling drugs? Carrying a pistol in stash compartment of his vehicle? Hanging out on the corner? Robbing rival drug dealers? Holding people hostage? Fighting in the club every weekend? The answer to all that is no. Just like Mathieu, he goes to class, plays football, got caught with an illegal substance, and would shat his pants if he had to do what real thugs do.

I agree with above. Bama fans and others seem to call our players Thugs. This year is was because they were whipping them on the field so they defaulted to calling them Thugs.
We as fans should STOP doing that. Tyrann is not a thug, nor is kirkpatrick.
Also when you were in college you didnt smoke a little weed or make bad decision?

Do I like the smack talk, etc no. But I also was not raised in the environment these kids were.

We should stop being so quick to label kids. Primarily black kids (There I said it) as Thugs all the time because they have dreads or smoke some weed. Bad decision yes, but one that is not uncommon.
Heck my buddy is a Financial Planner and a very successful one managing millions of dollars and smokes weed every weekend.

But we sure do cast a ton of stones. I assure you I did 10 times more idiotic things in college than these kids did.
Give them a break.....
