what do ya think-is there a positive correlation between fans that have an overambitious view of their team and fans that get too bent out of shape by losses?

No doubt about it. See Auburn a couple years ago, or Ole Miss this year. It's also a lot about some weird sense of entitlement many fans have for a perrenial top 5 or 10 team. It's kinda funny, IMO.

Regardless, it feels good to turn the page and look forward to a few months of games.

Well said and well put SabanFan.

Remember Tiger fans, Michigan and Tennessee BOTH started the year ranked ahead of us and Michigan has already dropped 2 games.

There's a reason why it's almost impossible to go undefeated in the SEC.

This is actually the only thread I've read since the game and the only post I've made as well. I just decided that I'd rather not be bombarded with all of the sky is falling, fire the coach posts I knew would be made. I'm glad this one was started inspite of Dutchtown's trying to denigate it into one of the many other threads. Like SabaFan, I stopped getting real upset over football games a long time ago but I also remember those days and nights of anguish I felt after the Saints lost another big game or LSU got beat by Bama again. Hopefully others will be able to get over the losses without so much anguish oneday.
