What he means is that there are too many posters giving their opinion on the board and it is stealing his thunder. What he wants is for everyone else to shut up and listen to him, after all he is the only one that could possibly know what he is talking about. Now everyone be good little robots and yield to the mighty sabanfan.
I'd like to add my own thoughts here. First, last game's loss affected me in a way that I wish it did not . . . I couldn't sleep at all that night! I was a mess at work! I wish I could control that unwanted response to what happened, but I guess I can't. Next Issue: Yesterday, this thought occurred to me: NOW I KNOW HOW THE TENNESSEE FANS MUST HAVE FELT AFTER WE BEAT THEM IN THE SECCG A FEW YEARS AGO! Remember? If UT had managed to beat LSU in that game, THEY WERE GOING TO PLAY IN THE BCS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!! How freaking CRUSHED must they have felt after THAT monumental Volunteer collapse? This has helped me realize that we, as fans, are going to be crushed by adverse results from time to time. It goes with the territory. As a fan, I need to master the consequences of a crushing loss so that I can: 1) not lose any sleep; and 2) not react like a big whiney baby on LSU message boards. I think that I can restrain myself from being a whiney baby on this message board, but I'm really worried about my capability to get a good night's sleep after a game in which LSU loses like we did on Monday night. Saban Fan: did Monday night's LSU game affect your ability to sleep well that evening? Or have you developed a Zen-like ability to keep yourself more balanced and serene than I after LSU losses? If the latter, what's your secret, please? I'm tired of getting upset about LSU games. Thanks.
yeah on a positive note, i'm in love with ESPN's rachel nichols. and by "in love" i mean possibly stalking.
I grew up. No. What I want is a thread free of the onslaught of negativity that has overwhelmed this forum. I don't have to read the negative threads, so I won't. This thread is for those who want to turn the page and quit acting like spoiled little brats who have no life outside of LSU sports. It was a joke, fool.
I agree whole-heartedly with the overall theme of this thread. This was the second game of the season, a season that has devolved into anything other than "normal" for our team. Imagine being Les Miles, and to have two hurricanes heaped onto the beginning of his first season. What are we expecting, anyway?
I expect LSU to compete for the SEC western division championship and eventually represent the west in the SEC championship game. (that is for this year's team, not always) I hope and dream for them to win the sec championship game and more. So far expectations can still be realized. LSU has only played two games for crying out loud!
i agree. Im done spewing and venting. Now its time to dance with the one who brung ya and realize we're in this together at least for now. we can still attain our goals.
Tried to give you rep sabanfan. I agree wholeheartedly and have been trying to focus on some positive things. I know and realize what happenned but damn the way alot of the fans are reacting makes me believe that football has become too important in some peoples lives. When the idea of good sportsmanship is thrown out and we resort to having fans throw bottles at a visiting teams bus then we as fans have crossed the line. I think this team is going to get on a roll starting this Saturday and i want Rick Clausen and Tenn again in the SEC CG. That is the goal i am focused on because in a rematch without all the emotional rollarcoaster we have been on i think we can put a whoopin on em. I only hope Tenn can get there. Because Rick Clausen is not a great QB. We still control our own path to get there. They dont.
