Agreed, although I think most teams would play it conservatively that late in the game. If I remember correctly on the 3rd down play, Burrow kept when he should have handed off. But yes, a 1st down seals the deal. Unfortunately, we couldn't pick up a 1st.
He showed he could earlier in the year, but then it was seemingly shut down for several games. I agree with @lsu-i-like; coaching staff likely didn't want to risk injury with an inexperienced backup. The kid can run, for sure.
