    yup.

and for the people wondering why i am not responding much, i've tried to post stats, and rebuttals numerous times, and when i hit submit it locks up. i don't know what's up with that...

The forum has a BS filter.. (na just kiddin')

Actually stats won't make the comparison, as they can be manipulated to suit either argument. What RP is lacking is the intangibles that Matt Flynn has. He (Flynn) has worked with this program for the last 5 years in a "player-coach" capacity and knows this offense up and down, the players trust him as a team leader, and more importantly Coach Miles trusts him (which is more than can be said for Perriloux).

Perriloux has superb raw talent, but he simply doesn't have the time under his belt with the LSU system. Not to mention he makes decisions off the field that are "questionable" at best... He's just got some maturing to do, but once he gets his shot (next year) he will become a great QB for us. He's gotta gain Miles' trust before any of this can take place. Hell Miles won't even call him by his name most of the time... Always "the other QB" or "#11", etc..

According to Guilbeau, Les states that Perrilloux was not being punished in the first half of the Tulane game. "It was game flow," Miles said. "No, it was not disciplinary. We were talking about opportunities to get him in the game right from the start."

how does he know the offense up and down when we have a new coordinator?

That's just a small part of the knowledge of the team he has... New coordinator, sure.. but that didn't change every aspect of the training system the team uses. New scheme, sure... But due to Flynn's previous experience he was able to adapt to the scheme easily. As a matter of fact, he and Crowton have worked very closely together in implimenting the new offense because he understands it so well.. Crowton himself has said that.

That said, it's obvious that nothing that's posted here will change your view of how you would run the offense if you had the job, but you don't. I feel I've pretty well explained why MF is the starter, and will continue to be... Be patient, wait it out, Perriloux will get his shot... Next season.

my point of this thread was that RP would be the better option against UF. and i firmly believe that because of RP's mobility, he can keep the chains moving by escaping a collapsed pocket. If tulane can do what they did to our o-line, what's to stop florida from imploding it many times and flynn getting caught flat-footed?

Well then, perhaps a more tactful way of stating your argument rather than "..if not, we lose. Period." would be a better way of getting that point across.

If you replace the word "folks" with a word that starts with "d" and ends with "n", you'd be correct.

And you seem to like stirring the pot, so we're all good. :thumb: :hihi:
