You are right on. Our oline and dline have a lot to be desired. I'm hoping it's a scheme thing for the defense but I think it's probably the fact that we are playing a lot of young guys that have not bulked up yet. It could be a tough ride in conference play for the oline and dline.
offensive line a C- here is why we cant establish a run game offensive play calling ....maybe a D another reason why we cant establish running or consistancy. JJ's playing..... B he could use some seat time to hone his passing which he is getting. but his problems are partly because of the play calling Defensive line...... C Secondary and line backers A.... if the line would step up these guys would get an A+ Chevis new plan. C.
anyone notice JJ leans toward the line of scrimmage right before the snap when its a run play? oh man its way noticeable if you look for it. this certainly isnt helping the offensive line. they need all the help they can get and need to tell him to quit tipping their hand.
I'm pretty sure that Mark Richt, Urban Meyer and Nick Saban have noticed it. You better call Les first thing in the morning to let him know about that. On second thought you gon't have to call him. I'm sure he has read your post by now and is alreading thinking about it.
I have to say as a Washington fan, and those who may have checked out the Washington Huskies blog on the Seattle Times before, prior to the LSU-Washington game, one of our biggest worries was the strength and depth of the LSU offensive line combined with the relative weakness of our entire defense. First LSU series of that game, the LSU o-line looked every bit as tough as advertised. As the game grew on, it was less of a worry (especially due to the vanilla playcalling). However, given what we saw the Washington Defense do to USC at times (even though USC's o-line was doing some pretty amazing blocking when they went on the run (and it's hard to imagine why USC abandoned the run, since even with the negative yard stuffs by the Huskies, they were averaging 7.7ypc)), maybe it's really not LSU's O-line that's as bad as you think it is. Maybe everybody else has a better defense than you thought
Crowton is excellent at disguising personnel. When he is predictable it's because he wants to be (or the offensive line is playing like crap) The only gripe I have about offensive playcalling is the lack of an 'identity' or at the very least how when one thing works well we seem to do the opposite.
The o line has been average at best and Miles has stated that he thought this would be the best o line since he has been here.
Yes, I would have to agree that the playbook was opened up and unfortunately Jefferson was quite awful heaving it long. So credit to Crowton for that. At least now we know to work on his long passing game.
JJ has a horseshoe up his butt. he had 3 pick 6's dropped last night. 2 coulda walked in. a 4th one was last week. jarrett lee is wondering if life is fair.
