This is the worst LSU offensive line in YEARS.

what were the chances of tebow's fake draw being successful against a good LSU team?

Oh that's right it turned out to be a TD even though he had thrown almost 0 passes before. (in fact it may have been 0 i can't remember)

You saw a defense of UL's that is probably worse than anyone in the SEC and that has already put a stop to what looked like Shepard running all over the field. That's not a good sign. Shepard should have attempted at least 1 pass so far.

Forget Shepard, we couldn't get Scott or Williams going until the very end of the game. I was really hoping we'd finally establish our inside running game against these hapless idiots, and I frankly find it extremely concerning that we did not.

Really, if we can't do it vs USL, can ANYONE give me reason to believe that we can do it in conference play?

:geaux: The inabililty to throw down field is what is worrisome right now. I think JJ has the ability, but for whatever reason it's not happening right now. He has the recievers. I'm watching this kid from Georgia, Cox, who's also a sophmore and he doesn't seem to have much problem throwing down field. Don't think he got that much playing time behind Stafford last year. Five TD's and counting against Arky. Mallet has five TD's as well.
I'm not saying JJ should have thrown 5 TD's tonight. What I am saying is that if JJ and LSU don't start throwing the ball down field and making defences respect that, we're going to have problems. They'll load the box and dare JJ to beat them passing down the field, which he has problems doing right now. Quick outs, curls, etc. are not going to cut it from here on out. We've got LaFell, Tolliver, Randle, etc. so lets use them. I'm sure the playbook will open up more as the season goes on and I'm hoping JJ will open up as well.
I'm glad we won and glad we're 3 - 0. Just kind of frustrated and venting so bear with me here. Next week against MSU will be key and I believe LSU will win. I also think the Tigers can go through this season with only 2 to 3 losses. But to do that JJ will have to throw the ball much better than he has shown thus far this season. :LSU231:

Tebow attempted 12 passes before he played us, meaning UF didn't wait 4 games before they had him attempt his first pass.

A minor point, but I think this kid from UGA, Cox, is a senior, who just like Matt Flynn, never got the chance to play much before his senior year.

:geaux: If Cox is a senior, I stand corrected. Thought I saw where they listed him as a soph. I had really never heard of him before this year, although playing behind Stafford would contribute to that.:hihi: He did a great job tonight anyway. :LSU231:

Crowton made a bunch of great calls tonight, especially throwing the ball downfield. Jefferson threw 3 really bad passes to open receivers.
