This Bama rematch is simply feeling anti-climatic to me

yeah but isnt the job to match the 2 best teams? if so then they succeeded even if it sucks for us.

But I am one in the camp that if you cannot win your own conference championship let alone division. How can you POSSIBLY be a National Champion.
Sure people use the NFL reference. That is not even a viable comparison. Until we have an actual playoff that argument is moot.

So for me Bama is a better team than Okie State. But they didnt even win their own division and not even their own conference. This year it is even more vexing because the team who did accomplish those is the other team in the title game.

Again assuming Bama wins what does that actually prove ? Nothing LSU has one more win, 2 more championships (Division and conference) and is 1-1 against Bama like Bama is for us.

No the only reason why i firmly believe Okie State deserved their shot is very simple. They won their division, AND Bama had their shot, they lost.

No it should have been LSU vs Okie State.
Plus isnt this supposed to be a reward for us and for the team ?
Wouldnt it have been nice to meet new fans, play a different conference, their offense against our defense, Conference Champions of the two best conferences (So they say). No we got a redux where we have to put up with the Bama fans (See sidelines or tidefans.com for example)

So I agree I am going to the game but it really has been anti-climatic.
Not what i had hoped. We already did the Bama thing I wanted something new, end of the day it is nothing but entertainment right ? What is more entertaining. Two teams who didn't play already or a redux of a game already played.

What really pisses me off. Is the game in November meant absolutely nothing. It was a keep waste of time. Bama lost and still got what they wanted. LSU won (On the road) and were told. "Yeh not good enough try again"

Crap....

 

i think its a game we all wanted to see. but within the rules the best 2 should play and unfortunately, that put the onus of beating the same team twice on us.

this game is a pick em. okie state would have been 10 pt dogs. thats a pretty big gap for NC game.

maybe they need to amend the rules you have to win your conference but as is it benefits the strongest conference which clearly is the SEC.

even though its not best for us I still think they got it right. still sucks.

yes but what we think doesnt change the rules in place.

if the top 2 teams are from the same conference then this allows them to play for it all.

if they didnt want this, they need to change it.

until then, we cant just make up our rules like USC tries to do.
