This Bama rematch is simply feeling anti-climatic to me

I still have doubts about the long-term viability of Saban's coaching style, on the program, his assistants, and himself. It's very difficult to maintain the kind of constant intensity he demands from his players and staff. Hanagriff called it the "Saban effect", he just wears people down over time. Urban Meyer has a similar approach, and he's paying a big price with his health. it has to take its toll on him eventually.

That's why assistants don't stay long. He's too intense and too involved in the defense. His doesn't let his coaches coach. So they looke to leave as soon as they can find a open position.

Bama got manhandled in their own house, they have no chance in new Orleans. Come get bitch slapped by the tigers then carry your asses back to hickville.

You know what, I am tired of this Bama Bull****!
I wish you could tell me this in person, I'd knock your teeth right out of your mouth. I hope this is posted in the LSU locker room, If I was on the team Alabama wouldn't have enough players left to finish the game on the 9th.:po:I really can't wait for this game to begin and the Bull**** to stop!

Edit: I can only imagine just how better your football team and should have won. As an LSU fan I'd love nothing better than to suit up in a football uniform and knocking some of you Bama fans or football players on their ass on my way to the end zone. I can only imagine how our football players must feel.

I have the opposite feeling. I have been to all the NC this decade and think this one will be the best experiences. Really looking forward to it and plan on being down in N.O. from Friday to Tuesday.

I went to Tuscaloosa this year and was very surprised to see that Bama fans are really standoffish (If that is a word). They let LSU fans pretty much takeover without much to say. They said it was because they were worried and respected us but it was pretty dismal over there. Meet a lot of nice people, however.

After we won I was walking back to our tailgate and told each one that we would see them in N.O. and most said it is not going to happen. I said watch and see. I hope to see them come to town and in better spirits.

I can't think of a better matchup and ready to represent for LSU.

Also helps to explain why Miles has staying power. Read the article geauxtigs linked in another thread (below) and it shows how Miles knows how to keep the right mind set. Intense and all business when its time, but also knows when to be human. John Madden once wrote he only had three rules for his teams: be on time, pay attention, and play like he!! when I tell you to. Miles seem to take a similar approach.

    Thank You for the information.
I am sure there are some good Bama fans but I have had it with the others and the talking heads about how good Alabama is and how they should have won. If we don't blow them out because of their big mouths I am hoping their kicker misses the winning field goal. Special teams including Kickers are also part of a team last I saw.
I am in a better mood today BUT I still want to put on the head gear and run over some of those big mouths over there that gave all the excuses of why they lost while saying the best team didn't win. Talk is cheap, put up or shut up, I wanna see the action on the field!
    Thanks for the article McTiger!

Normally the losing team has the advantage in a rematch. Revenge and motivation to prove your self are keys. But this rematch is for the NC and is at "our home away from home." Plus our guys have the confidence that we beat them on their turf.
