I think the refs had pity on him at that point- They are experienced enough to know that he really didn't need a time out and cut him some slack.

Irony? Wasn't Jamie Howard recognized before the game for something?

The UK comeback is definitely the worst.

This was the worst football collapse definitely. LSU had never lost a 21 point lead in a game in its entire history, much less in the 4th quarter alone. So definitely worst football collapse of all time.

this is the worst. not even close. the next closest hasnt been mentioned---the salami given up by big ben. i'd even put the loss to gatech higher, because of what was at stake.

    this is football.
we were ranked #3/4. this wasnt some big time upset bid that didnt really mean anything. lsu's shot at another NC just went from 1:10 to 1:1000.

i think big ben's may be the worst ever. the uk one second. this one sucks but Im not sure its that big since we arent going undefeated the rest of the way i do not believe.

This was worse than the UK basketball loss, because UK was a top-rated team, we were an also-ran that played over its head for awhile. This was worse than the Howard game because this was at home, and that one was more of a one-player meltdown, rather than the team effort last night was. I would put the Miami of Ohio game above last night, though.

I can't remember the details of Ben's CWS losses- did we have leads in those games and then collapse, or did he just get shelled right from the start?
