We've had 8 years of Republican bounty and are pretty much worse for wear. Our current state is due to the policy of the Bush's, Cheney's, Rove's, Limbaugh's, and Hannity's and things are worse than they've been in quite a while. And you can't understand those who don't want 4 more years of this?

Have you watched the news at all lately? One of the candidates is in trouble, all right . . . What does Pelosi's "throne" have to do with anything?

Iran doesn't have the capacity to bomb us, probably never will, and doing so would be national suicide anyway. The Iranians may be zealous, but they are not idiots. It is important to understand that the rhetoric of third-world dictators is intended for internal consumption and that they don't have the capability to back it up. We've already seen what disaster comes from starting a war based on fears instead of facts. Republicans didn't learn a damn thing from it and deserve to be marginalized. Anybody can make a mistake, but refusing to recognize it is simply incompetent, and lining up to do it again is ineptitude of the highest order.
Based on what? You've gone through seven years of the most incompetent, blundering fool of a president the United States has ever had and you think Clinton was bad? Clinton's economy was fantastic, he balanced his budgets, he paid down our national debt, he won the wars he fought (one without a single US casualty), reformed welfare, kept Saddam on a a leash for eight years with no fly zones, air and and missile strikes, destroying all his WMD's, tried to kill bin Ladin twice with cruise missile attacks, and got a hummer in his office from a 21-year-old (something I have not managed to pull off since I was 21). Remember, Sir William of Smooth was elected to two terms by republican women. Don't underestimate the charm of Obama . . . or the potential competence. We don't know a lot about him, he could be great or he could be disappointing. One thing is for sure. He can't be any worse than what we've got right now.
