No surplus at all, I'll test the job market and see whats out there, if its nothing, then I may just stay in.
I believe that Ron Paul was never taken seriously because of the Ron Paul supporters. I'm referring to the hippies that grabbed hold of the "money wasted on the war on drugs" mantra and showed up at rallies and debates making asses out of themselves. Serious people do not want to be associated with idiots.
Perhaps there is some truth to that, though I really think the main reason Paul was unable to win over many in the Republican party is because so many follow the herd, feel informed by Fox News, Hannity, and Limbaugh, and wretch every time they hear the word "Democrat". I believe many mainstream folks were scared away because Paul is some guy they had never heard of saying things unfamiliar to today's Republican party-line. I'm reading one of Obama's books, and he really comes off as informed and willing to compromise and work toward a solution and what is best for the country. But many Republicans are unwilling to hear him out simply because he's a member of the Democratic party.
I am as red of a Republican as it gets, but sadfully admit that this is true, along with my point of course  He seemed really out of place in the debates, especially when it came to the war. I believe he would have carried enough votes to get on the ballot had he ran as an independent, as there are plenty of anti-war folks out there that are also fiscal conservatives and would have really liked this guy. I liked him, just not enough to vote for him. I am glad to have his voice in Congress.
Do you have any idea how many white southern racists will vote for Obama because he's a Democrat? That crap cuts both ways.
