If you lean left for too long, you'll hurt your hip. How's your health insurance?

excellent post. imo, pelosi is the biggest liability the dems have.

in oklahoma its still closed primaries. if you arent a dem or a pub you are pretty much shut out until the general election.

I started as a Democrat...but then I received an education and saw things differently and became an independent...then I began to work & pay taxes and saw things differently so I became a Republican.

I believe the founding fathers in this country were much better leaders than any politicans we've seen in the last 20+ years. Homeland security and a strong military are big items to me. Personal accountability and responsibility are also big issues for me. These are also reasons I moved more right as I don't agree with many bleeding-heart liberals.

I agree with much of MM's comments. I'm not sure if we'll ever know the true Obama as long as Pelosi and Reid are pulling his strings like a puppet.

In his speech a few nights ago he tried to get tough with the Republicans (although they're just the minority) and said he won't stand for any delays. I wish he would've then turned around and said the same thing to Pelosi and Reid.

If we don't vote the majority of this Congress out of office shame on us.

The thing is the majorities of the 2 clubs have gone so far to the right and left the gap in the middle is bigger then its ever been.

If there was ever time for a 3rd party to rise up and gain a beachhead in the government it is now. It is TRULY the ONLY way we will see any kind of change in our lifetime!

If you vote for the "-R" or the "-D" that's beside someone's name on the TVm then you deserve what you get and I blame you for our country's problems...

Mastermind, nice post, but I don't think you can participate in Florida primaries unless you are registered with one of the parties. Can you vote in the primaries in Louisiana if you are registered independent?

I wonder if a third party could make it. I don't think I would agree with most of a platform that blended mainstream republican and democratic viewpoints. That's like blending caca and poopoo. You still end up with sht.

Hi, thought you'd be interested in checking out www.independentvoting.org and seeing how independents are becoming organized. Lots of independents voted for Obama, but we didn't become Democrats for some of the reasons that are being pointed out here. Check out the new movie on the site "How the Independent Movement Went Left By Going Right" which traces the last 20 years. And if you're interested - there's going to be a national conference call this Sunday - you can email me at [email protected] (or just sign up on the site for updates).
