I accually think that its all leagal with the NCAA. It's not any funny money. If i am not mistaken Matt Leinart cited the $950 a month he gets from a Student athlete stipidend as one of the reasons it was okay with him to return to USC. I know the quote sound real bad (hey, he's an Aggie. What do you expect?), but i really don't think he'd of said that if it wasn't all on the up and up.

 

By the way i believe the NCAA allows each school to spend x amount of dollars a year for their student-athlete stipidends (of course each school always uses all of their alloted amount so as not to be at a recruiting disadvantage)
